Letter from the Program Director

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our residency program here at NEA Baptist.

Our Department of Internal Medicine is dedicated to providing a coherent, integrated, and educational program, preparing our residents for both general internist as well as subspecialties. The educational program utilizes both extensive didactics as well as progressive patient care responsibilities. The didactics utilize simulation scenarios, ultrasound training, and daily lectures emphasizing both direct patient care and preparing for board examinations. Our rotation structure ensures each resident gains the necessary knowledge, clinical management, interpersonal skills, and experience required to be a proficient physician.

The residency program aligns with Baptist Memorial Health Care’s mission of healing, preaching, and teaching and complements our approach to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare for patients throughout Northeast Arkansas.
